About the Company

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is a public university in Spain, located in Valencia. It ranks first in several university rankings in Spain and is also among the top 150 universities in the world for studying Engineering and Technology, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject.

The project was carried out for the Observatorio del Deporte de la Comunidad Valenciana (ODE-CV), a key tool for analysis, diagnosis, and decision-making improvement in the sports field, especially in its social dimensions. Its main resource is the Sistema de Indicadores Deportivos (SID), which provides relevant data for the formulation of sports policies and programs, as well as for research and decision-making in the sports sector of the Valencian Community.

Starting Point

The ODE-CV faced the challenge of managing large volumes of sports data, which needed to be collected, transformed, and presented in a clear and accessible manner to facilitate interpretation by the public and stakeholders in the sports sector, without the process being complex or redundant.

Solution

A set was designed of dashboards, an automated solution that allows for the efficient loading, transformation, and presentation of data in the SID. This platform organizes the data into thematic dimensions and presents it graphically (tables, charts) with brief texts to facilitate interpretation, all of which is accessible in real time to the public.

Outcome

With the implementation of this solution, the ODE-CV has been able to provide sports data in a simple and easy-to-interpret manner, improving the accessibility of information and facilitating the consultation of indicators clearly, reducing processing times, and ensuring the continuous availability of updated data.
